It is understood that on June 20, the Henan Shangqiu City market Supervision Bureau carried out a special inspection of excessive packaging of tea in the Suiyang District Wuxing Tea shop in accordance with the law, and carried out spot checks on the “Wuyixing Jinjun Mei” tea products sold in the store. It is estimated that the void ratio of this batch of tea packaging reaches 76.7%, which does not meet the requirements of “national mandatory standard void ratio ≤45%” in GB 23350-2009 “Limiting excessive packaging Requirements for Commodities Food and Cosmetics”. On the same day, the bureau also carried out a special inspection of excessive packaging of tea in the Suiyang District and the Spring tea shop in the city according to law, and carried out spot checks on the “Huaxiang Yuan Guobin Tea (Dahongpao)” tea products sold in the shop. It is estimated that the void ratio of this batch of tea packaging reaches 84.7%. The actions of the parties in both cases violated the provisions of Article 68 of the Law on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste. According to the provisions of Article 105 of the law, the Shangqiu Market Supervision Bureau ordered the parties in the two cases to immediately correct their illegal acts, remove the tea products that did not meet the provisions, and transfer the illegal clues to the local market supervision department of the tea gift box production enterprise.
