The first place: check the anilox roller and rubber roller
When adjusting the machine, pay special attention to whether the two sides of the anilox roller and the rubber roller are balanced. We know that the function of the rubber roller is to squeeze out the ink on the surface of the anilox roller, and the anilox roller can stably supply ink for the cigarette box printing plate in a quantitative manner. Second place: check plate/cardboard thickness
It is necessary to know that the entire printing plate maintains a consistent thickness to ensure uniform cigarette box printing pressure and ink on the layout. When the thickness of the cigarette box printing plate is uneven, there will be a difference in height on the layout. Where the layout is high, it is easy to paste the plate, and where the layout is low, it is easy to have incomplete ink, resulting in unclear imprinting and other problems.
In the same way, if the corrugated cardboard has dents during the handling process, then when cigarette box printing, the paper surface of the dent will have quality defects with unclear imprints, so check carefully before production.
The third place: Check the mesh of the anilox roller
The anilox roller is also called “the heart of the cigarette box printing machine”. Its function directly affects the fineness and uniformity of cigarette box printing. When writing, the ink absorption capacity is not enough.
When the mesh structure is 90 degrees, the transfer of ink will grow into strips; if it is 120 degrees, the structure will be more square. At present, the general flexographic cigarette box printing machine usually adopts the arrangement of 60 degrees, and the mesh is a regular hexagonal ceramic. The ink is supplied by an anilox roller, so that the ink transfer will be better, and the printing pressure will be smaller and the water flow marks will be less.
Fourth: Check the water-based ink
In the production, if the ink supply system is blocked and the ink is lost; when the rubber roller and the anilox roller are in normal contact, the ink on the anilox roller mesh wall cannot be squeezed out, etc., which are basically related to the high viscosity of the water-based ink.
We know that during full-page cigarette box printing, the amount of ink used is large and the consumption is fast, and the ink will thicken more quickly. The viscosity of water-based ink has a certain proportional relationship with the amount of ink transferred. Better water-based inks will increase their ink absorption, so It is recommended to use medium and high-grade water-based inks for full-page cigarette box printing, and pay attention to check the viscosity changes of water-based inks during the production process.flower box
